The Latino Timothydelaghetto:
You-tuber Timothydelaghetto has been busy with making a variety of projects from short skits to working on a TV show. Because of the current schedule, Timothy hasn't been posting as much vlogs as much as he used to; then came along Frank Legend.
Now I'm not saying that Frank Legend is a replacement of Timothydelaghetto. I feel that he's feeding the audience that Timothy had attracted to YouTube. And since Timothy hasn't been posting vlogs, the audience generally is getting hungry. The audience I'm talking about is mostly teens to late 20's who are into street wear, hip-hop, and/or sex/relationships.
One can argue that it's not accurately correct to be comparing Timothydelaghetto and Frank Legend. Timothy's vlogs some Q and A's about relationships from and to his audience. Frank covers topics, like relationships, to his audience with a general approach. What I can say is that Frank has a similar style that resembles very much like Timothy's.
Style:
Frank wears a lot of street wear in his videos. He also throws in some hip-hop instrumentals as background music which varies for each video. Frank voices out his opinion in a way that makes you feel like you are a close friend of his with a touch of slang & comedy every now and then just like Timothy.
Now here are some differences between the two. First is that Frank isn't as perverted as Timothydelaghetto. He doesn't throw that many dirty jokes in his videos compared to Timothy. And if he did, they're still not as dirty as Timothy's. Not to say that Timothy is a perverted guy. I do see the difference when I compare his videos to Frank's.
Second difference is ethnicity. Frank is Latino and Timothy is Thai. Both are proud to be their ethnicity. They voice out the issues and their pride that are within their ethnicity. But each ethnicity has its own unique issues from other ethnicities. Voicing out the issues and opinions to represent their ethnicity will result to a different targeted audience. Frank's majority of audience is Latino while Timothy's Asian.
The third difference is probably for the current time and will probably change in the future: Frank makes more vlogs than Timothydelaghetto that focus on giving out advice or ranting about issues. Timothydelaghetto may be busy now but who knows. He'll probably go back to daily vlogging before we know it. Frank is showing some interests of focusing on short skits. He's a made a couple of them in his channel already. I wouldn't be surprised if he ended up doing short skits from here on out.
How He Stands Out:
Frank Legend overall is a unique guy. I don't see too many Latino YouTubers that voice out opinions on advice and issues through vlogging. And he's doing a pretty good job at it too. I hope to see more Latino vloggers come out more in the near future. But for now, Frank Legend is the leading vlogger of Latinos.
Frank Legend voicing out on the immigrant issue in United States:
Traffic:
Frank's channel currently has 62,329 subscribers and a total of 9,236,593 viewers. His average viewers range from 5,000-60,000 views. His most viral video made about 6.5 million views. His channel is growing. It's only a matter of time before he gets a million subscribers.
Check Him Out:
I compared Frank Legend to Timothydelaghetto for another reason. His come up really resembles with Timothy. Right now, he deserves more views on his videos and more subscribers on his channel than he's getting. Come check him out. You'll enjoy them whether you're Asian who's a fan of Timothydelaghetto (like me) or a Latino/Latina who's searching for someone to represent their ethnicity well.
