The situations that were portrayed in the video were both clever and relatable. As an Asian American, I did find myself relating to the situation where another fellow Asian American would speak in our native language for a brief moment just to secretly comment about someone close by. Steven Lim also covers topics about living in Ohio as an Asian American.
Growing Up in Ohio:
For Steven Lim, growing up in Ohio wasn't easy. He let's his audiences know how people of different ethnicity would treat him awkwardly and sometimes shady towards him just because he's Asian. Steven reasons out that people of different ethnicity treated him differently because there aren't that many Asian Americans that live in Ohio.

However, Steven also tells stories of how growing up in that part of the Mid West wasn't all that bad. A challenge Steven admits in one of his videos is that it's difficult finding an authentic Asian restaurant whether it be Chinese, Japanese, etc.
Food:
Even though authentic restaurants are rare in the Mid West, Steven and a few of his friends are able to find one every now and then. Here's a video of Steven and his friends doing a review on a couple of Asian restaurants determining the authenticity of the food served.

On a side note, Steven and his friends should be given props for their labor in the video. They ate all the food from different restaurants in one single day. Some can argue that it's not fair that they can work by eating out to a bunch of good restaurants for a day. I think it's just awesome.
Vlogs: Ranting Why Steven Only Hang Out with Other Asians.
Some videos uploaded in Steven Lim's channel are rants/opinions that are related to his life. One topic that he ranted about passionately was the topic of why he only hangs out with other Asians. He covered the topic to in response to someone asking Steven why he only hangs out with other Asians.

His responses really enlightened the value of relating to others that have the same lifestyle, activities, and ethnicity as another. To be able to relate to someone with the same ethnic background really helps in finding some sort of self-worth. It helps tremendously if that someone lives in an area where there are less people that have the similarities. Steven not only found similar people who were Asian Americans in Ohio but also similar people who are pursuing a YouTube carreer in California.
